Madisonville Fire Department crews were called out to a house fire before noon today at Brentwood Subdivision. MFD Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Baldwin said at the scene the report came in as an attic fire. No one was at the single-story brick home when the fire broke out, located along the 200 block of Bernard Drive. After the blaze was extinguished, crews were placing large fans in doorways to clear smoke from the residence, which appeared to have received significant damage.
