For 19 years, Andy Burnett says he’s suited up in his turn-out gear with his Clarkson Fire Department family to answer the call of his community in their most vulnerable moments.
A neighbors house catching fire is what sparked Andy’s interest in becoming a volunteer fireman. He said he knew nobody was home but he watched firemen run into a burning home, risking their own lives, searching to ensure no one was inside. “…they went in and they didn’t know those people, they didn’t know who they was and searched the house on fire, it’s kinda crazy, for the most part, that they would do that, not knowing who they was or anything about them…that they would do that.
