In December, Wayne Riley came home to a shocking scene and devastating news.
Riley's wife Archimeda and stepchildren, Savannah Cooper and Kameron Harris, died from a fire at the family's apartment on Shanks Lane.
"We were married for seven incredible years," Riley said.
Now a grieving husband and father, Riley wants more than justice for the loss of his wife and two stepchildren.
LMPD said Danesha Peden intentionally started the fire over a domestic dispute with someone else. Right now, Peden is locked up at Metro Corrections, charged with murder and arson, but she's not the only one Riley blames.
Last week, he filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Peden and C3 Holdings, LLC, the company that owns the apartment building. The suit claims "the numeric deadbolt on the front door was unlocked and not functioning properly." The suit alleges that allowed Peden access to the building.
