Four Vine Grove residents were transported to hospitals Saturday morning after a fire erupted at a home on North Mill Street. Vine Grove Fire Chief Steve New said the crews were dispatched at 5:44 a.m. to 102 North Mill St. When they arrived, flames were coming out of the windows on one side of the structure. All four residents were out of the home. One person was transported to Jewish Hospital in Louisville for third-degree burns on both arms. The other three were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, two for second-degree burns and one for smoke inhalation. New said all four since have been released. He said the house was a “total loss.”
