The wife of a Lyndon firefighter is making it easier for first responders and their families to draft a will. She’s hosting an event Saturday at the Lyndon Fire station on New LaGrange road for all first responders. Lyndon fire Capt. Andrew Sasse and his wife, Cathy, who have been married for two years, said they've been meaning to prepare a will from day one. “We started the conversation right after we got married but it didn't really take off and go anywhere,” Andrew Sasse said. The conversation continued after two major injuries sent Sasse to the hospital. It wasn't until one of their friends, Ohio firefighter Jeff Leininger, died in October and left behind a wife and five kids without a will, that the Sasses realized how important it was.
