Evansville Hoses Hockey Team along with Madisonville Fire Department will host a benefit hockey game Saturday, June 2 to assist a local firefighter after he was injured.
Matt Bryant was injured while working a fire at a local business. A ceiling tile fell on his head, injuring his spinal cord. The injury has caused Bryant to be unable to work for several months, with the possibility of not being able to return at all. All proceeds will go to help relieve Bryant of some of his financial burdens, fundraiser organizers said.
The Matt Bryant Benefit Hockey game is being held at Swonder Ice Arena, 209 N. Boeke Road in Evansville, Indiana. The puck drops 7 p.m. Saturday, June 2.
