It is a time of transition for Scott County.
Another signal of the changes taking place comes with the announcement Jack Donovan is stepping down as director of the county’s Emergency Management Services.
For some 28 years Donovan has led our community’s emergency management services through floods, ice storms, oil spills, train derailments, fires, fatal accidents and more. Truth is he has also handled the mundane such as removing debris from roadways and when needed helping direct traffic without complaint.
County Judge-Executive George Lusby unabashedly says Donovan is the best emergency management administrator in Kentucky. We know better than to argue.
