It may be Halloween, but Lexington’s Fraternal Order of Firefighters is looking ahead to Christmas.
The FOF kicked off its 88th annual toy drive Wednesday at the “north pole”, the former Collins/Eastland Lanes on New Circle Drive near Winchester Road.
Last year, the toy drive helped more than 2,100 children.
This year, firefighters hope to give toys to at least that many kids.
Mayor Jim Gray donated the first toy, a fire truck.
