A husky had to be rescued after getting stuck in a culvert. The W.R. Castle Fire & Rescue was called out to a house on Sadler Drive in Johnson County, Kentucky because a dog was trapped inside a 12-inch culvert. The family said their 8-month-old husky had crawled about 90 to 100 feet inside the culvert. Firefighters believe the dog chased a small animal into the culvert and couldn't get out. Firefighters had to call in additional resources to help them get the dog out. After finding the culvert and uncovering it, they had to cut the metal pipe with saws. They then had to dig and cut to get to the dog. It took over 3 hours, but firefighters were finally able to get to the dog and rescue it before the rains moved in.
