Firefighters in Whitley County have been busy battling a string of fires that have overtaken at least five homes and buildings. Investigators say this recent uptick in fires is suspicious because none of the homes were being occupied at the times of the fires. All of the fires have started in the early hours of the morning, according to fire officials. "I don't know who is doing it. I'd like to find out,” said Whitley County resident Oscar Veach. Veach is just one of the people affected by this string of damaging fires. He owned a home KY-1064 that recently destroyed by fire.
