Firefighters responded to a day care fire in Okolona on Wednesday. Crews were sent to Southside Christian Child Care & Preschool in the 8100 block of Blue Lick Road shortly before 12:30 p.m. Officials said everyone was evacuated safely. The kids were taken to Home Depot behind the day care. Blue Lick Road at Preston Highway remains closed while crews work to the clear the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
