Two local firefighters were injured, one taken to a hospital, while fighting a three-alarm house fire in nearby Barrington, R.I., late Wednesday night.
The firefighter was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence and was released after treatment, fire officials said in a statement on the firefighters’ union Facebook page.
WPRI Channel 12 in Providence reported he suffered burns to his face. The other firefighter did not have to be taken to the hospital. Both firefighters are home recovering, according to fire officials.
