Kids honor their heroes, Chelmsford firefighters

A hero to me is someone who saves people and who really deeply cares." - Debi Mazar More than 140 kids at heart came out to support and honor their heroes, the men and women of the Chelmsford Fire Department, on June 12 at Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut. KIDS In Disability Sports, Inc., hosted its seventh annual Golf Classic, proceeds of which go directly to the organization to support the programs that K.I.D.S. offer its members. All the kids enjoyed a day of golf, a delicious buffet and an awards ceremony honoring Chelmsford's best This year KIDS honorees are the Chelmsford firefighters, who skated their hearts out in the second annual Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament, held at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro in April.
