PHOTO - A pinning and swearing-in ceremony was held Monday to announce the promotions of five seasoned firefighters in Freetown’s Fire Department. Families and staff gathered at the Council on Aging during the town’s Board of Selectmen meeting to witness, congratulate and take pictures of the lauded public servants. “This is a very historic night. I don’t remember this many people being promoted at one time,” said Fire Chief Gary Silvia.
