One firefighter was injured as Framingham firefighters worked to extinguish three structure fires occurred Monday morning. The first fire, the result of cooking, occurred at 6:56 a.m. at 45 Queens Way at a multi-unit apartment building. “It was a significant kitchen fire,” said Framingham Fire Chief Joe Hicks. He continued saying the fire went throughout the building and there was damaged from smoke. The family living there had to be evacuated. The call for the second fire came in at 8:56 a.m. when a worker at a convenient store in the strip mall at 296 Irving St. smelled smoke. There was smoke damage to the attic but Hicks said there wasn’t any water damage from extinguishing the blaze.
