Cambridge firefighters battled a 4-alarm fire Monday that spread from one building to another. The fire started in the basement of 6 Hunting St., which houses apartments and at least one business, fire officials said. When crews arrived, smoke and flames were coming out of the third floor. The flames spread to another building on Cambridge Street. John Rollins lived on the third floor of one of the buildings. He said smoke alarms alerted residents to get out of the building. “It seemed like we had enough time to get out, relatively, not enough time to grab a bunch of stuff, but at least people are fine,” he said.
