Fire crews rescued a woman from a building fire at 1 Marlboro Drive in Pittsfield Monday evening. According to the Pittsfield Fire Department, at approximately 6:42 p.m., crews received reports of smoke emanating from the residence at 1 Marlboro Drive, with fire alarms sounding. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered challenging hoarding conditions, hindering their access to the inside of the house. Multiple units, including E6, E3, E1, Tower 1, and Car 2, along with additional off-duty firefighters, were mobilized to put out the fire. Despite the obstacles posed by the hoarding, responders worked tirelessly to locate and suppress the fire, which was concentrated in the kitchen on the first floor. Concerns were raised about a woman possibly trapped inside the residence, prompting firefighters to conduct a thorough search.
