Some top brass with Harford County Volunteer Fire Companies are in trouble

FOX45 News has learned 20 officers with Harford County Volunteer fire companies have not met the proper certification set out five years ago. The deadline for meeting the standards for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association guidelines was July 1. Two hundred of the top brass handed in the required paperwork proving they passed the requirements. However, twenty others did not, including the fire chief from the Level Fire Department. We have learned the chief missed the deadline, but has now handed in an application packet for approval. Steve Hinch, chairman of the chief officers committee, explained: "There were several in my company.
