The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says that no one was injured in a fire that happened at a home in Elkton, early Sunday morning.
According to deputies, at 5:14 a.m., 30 firefighters from Chesapeake City and other surrounding departments, responded to a blaze on Blair Shore Road. The estimated loss of the home was $80,000.
The blaze took an hour to control and it was discovered by neighbors. The cause of the fire is under investigation and its unclear where the fire started.
Investigators are reportedly in the process of trying to locate the owner. It has been reported that the house was empty; however, it was determined that it was recently bought and was under renovation.
