A 58-year-old man was killed Wednesday in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 97 in Crownsville.
Firefighters responded to a report of a crash about 5:33 a.m. on northbound I-97 North near Hawkins Road, an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman wrote in a release.
Witnesses told investigators that a man driving a motorcycle veered off the roadway and flipped his vehicle before coming to a rest at the guardrail.
The department said the driver of the motorcycle, was declared dead at the scene. Police later identified him as George Wilks Macey, 58, of Easton, according to Maryland State Police —
Maryland State Police are investigating the crash. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
