A fatal house fire in Randallstown claimed a man's life this weekend, officials said. The Baltimore County Fire Department on Monday identified the victim as 38-year-old Darris Chandis Lilly. A press release said Lilly lived in the same block that the fire happened in. Patch asked a fire spokesperson to confirm if Lilly lived in the home that caught ablaze. The spokesperson said he couldn't answer that question. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Investigators did not estimate the dollar value of the property damage. Crews said they were dispatched to the 4200 block of Wards Chapel Road at 1:22 a.m. Sunday. First responders said they found heavy fire when they arrived at the two-story, single-family home. The call was upgraded to a rescue after reports that a man may have still been inside, units said.
