Region: Man displaced after apartment fire in Southeast DC

PHOTOS: A man is displaced after an apartment fire in Southeast D.C. Wednesday evening, according to D.C. Fire and EMS officials. Crews responded to the fire in the 2700 block of Bruce Place, Southeast around 3:52 p.m. to find smoke showing from the second floor of a three-story apartment building. In a video shared to social media, a firefighter was seen entering a window of the building as smoke was billowing out. Officials said the firefighter was searching for a possible trapped person, though the report was determined to be unfounded. According to officials, the fire was quickly knocked down and no injuries were reported, however, one man was displaced.
