VIDEO/PHOTOS: Six adults and three children were displaced after a large house fire in Northeast D.C. that left three homes damaged Wednesday evening, according to D.C. Fire and EMS officials.
Crews responded to the fire at a two-story, wood-frame home in the 3700 block of 24th Street, Northeast around 4:22 p.m., officials said.
A video shared on social media shows the house fully engulfed in flames. According to officials, the fire spread to an adjacent home. A third home suffered heat damage.
No injuries were reported. Officials said two residents of the first home safely escaped. Around 6 p.m., officials said the fire was under control and investigators were on the scene to determine the cause.
