An Oakland couple was treated for minor injuries and smoke inhalation after fire broke out in their kitchen this morning. According to the Kennebec Journal, the fire caused substantial damage to the kitchen in the home on Denise Avenue. Fire crews found the fire was limited to the kitchen The Fire Marshal's Office has been called to investigate which is protocol when injuries are involved.
