Family displaced as fire destroys Waterboro home

A beloved Sanford detective and her two children aren’t able to go home Thursday night, their Waterboro home was devastated by fire Thursday morning, according to Waterboro Fire Department. While neither Colleen Adams nor her two daughters were home when the fire broke out at their two-story home at about 9:30 a.m., their pets were, Waterboro Fire Dep. Chief Lisa Bennett said. The two dogs and one cat perished in the fire. Fire departments from Alfred, Goodwins Mills, Hollis, Limerick and Sanford responded along with the Waterboro Fire Department to the fire at 440 Ossipee Hill Road.
