A father and son from Dracut who managed to survive and crawl out of a window of a rural Maine home last week after an explosion due to a propane leak remained hospitalized Tuesday at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Robert Keefe, 59, and Ryan Keefe, 28, were both in critical condition last Friday at the hospital, where they were taken after the explosion at a home they were working on in Waldoboro, Maine, according to a hospital spokeswoman. By Saturday morning, Robert Keefe had been upgraded to serious condition. The Keefes were at the home on Dutch Neck Road in Waldoboro to open it for the summer, according to a press release from the Office of the Fire Marshal. The Portland Press Herald reported Friday that the home is owned by Robin Pancygrau, of Chelmsford.
