Fire Chief Richard Tupper presented Capt. Robert “Bobby” Dorr with his third Firefighter of the Year award on Monday evening during the monthly meeting of the Ellsworth City Council.
“Captain Dorr certainly excels in going beyond the call of duty day in and day out,” Tupper said.
Tupper also recognized Dorr’s wife, Heather.
“I thank you, Heather, for giving us the opportunity to have him probably much more frequently than we should.”
Dorr has been with the Ellsworth Fire Department for over nine years and also is lead instructor for the Hancock County Firefighters Association’s Fire Academy.
