A gas line caught fire at a popular restaurant in Waterford Township Wednesday night, causing the restaurant to be evacuated. The fire was called in sometime around 7:30 p.m. from the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on M-59 near Crescent Lake Road, said authorities. The restaurant was immediately evacuated. Arriving fire crews learned that a fire broke out in the back of the building. Investigators eventually found that the fire was located at the natural gas service main that feeds the building. Fearing an explosion inside the Buffalo Wild Wings if the gas was allowed to escape into the establishment, firefighters were forced to let the natural gas fire continue to burn.
