A home on the south end of Coldwater Lake was destroyed by fire Wednesday night. The blaze at 627 Pebblestone Drive was reported at about 6:50 p.m. Branch County 911 received numerous calls about the fire. Smoke could be seen from as far away as Jonesville Road. A video posted by Brian Weis on his Facebook page shows the home was fully engulfed in flames before fire crews arrived. Lakeland Fire Chief Paul Searing says three other nearby structures were damaged by the intense heat from the fire. Among them was a neighbors home where some siding and windows were damaged. Also damaged were a garage and a shed. . Lakeland firefighters were on the scene for almost 3 1/2 hours.
