House Fire in Marquette Township

A Marquette Township home has been heavily damaged by fire. The fire broke out at 11:30 Tuesday night at 47 Oak Hill Drive. Initial reports from officials on the scene indicate two people were inside the home when the fire started. They made it out safely. There are no reports of other injuries. There is no word on the cause of the fire, but officials on scene said it may have started in ceiling fan upstairs. Marquette Township and Chocolay Township firefighters along with the state police were on the scene well into the morning.
