A Wexford County family’s home was damaged Tuesday afternoon after smoke was reported coming from the roof. Fire crews responded to a house in the 700 block of S. Michigan Avenue in Manton. Robert and Katherine Priest and their three children lived at the home and were not hurt during the incident. Robert said he was experiencing problems with the fuse. He even replaced it several times on Tuesday, but it kept blowing. He said when he got home shortly after 3:00 p.m., there was smoke in the basement and it was coming up to the other floors. Four fire departments responded to the smoke, and they worked to put out hot spots before leaving the scene.
