Emergency crews responded Thursday morning to a residential fire in the 2600 block of Lincoln Lake Avenue in Lowell. Firefighters were dispatched around 8:15 a.m. after a neighbor called 911 to report seeing flames and smoke coming from the roof of a house in the area, according to dispatch reports. On scene, firefighters confirmed the flames could be seen from multiple sides of the home. Cathedral ceilings in the residence allowed the fire to climb higher and grow hotter, said Lowell Fire Chief Ron VanOverbeek.
