Emergency crews in northern Kent County responded to a house fire this morning on 17 Mile Road, west of Cedar Springs. Officials say the fire started just before 10 a.m., Monday, April 24. Video sent to us by viewer Pam Bradfield shows flames and smoke engulfing much of the home. Witnesses say there were two people inside the home when the fire started. They were able to get out safely. Firefighters remain on the scene trying to determine how it started.
