Full-time firefighters have alleged multiple counts of discrimination against union members in Macomb Township. The board voted to table International Association of Fire Fighters grievance 17-003 consideration, which was a closed session item, at a meeting last Wednesday. Macomb Township Supervisor Janet Dunn called for the action after an email containing the complaint and supporting documents was sent that afternoon. Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union Sixth District Vice-President Matthew Sahr came before the board to let them know the union intends to move ahead with arbitration.
