A wreath from the Lyon Township Fire Department was recently presented at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery. Fire Chief Ken Van Sparrentak submitted a request to have a wreath laid at the tomb and was present for the ceremony. "I put a request in on the website to represent the fire department and they accepted it. I know they get requests from across America, so I knew we would probably get it," Van Sparrentak said. "It was humbling. I didn't expect a quick response like that."
