The owners of a popular Clinton Township bar say they will “absolutely, 100 percent” rebuild the watering hole after an early-morning fire destroyed the place Sunday morning.
But of more immediate concern for Jim Wise and his wife, Laura -- owners of Wiseguys Bar & Grill on Garfield Road -- is the future of their employees heading into Christmas.
The couple also operates a second bar on Harper Avenue, which, like the Garfield location, is family owned and operated.
“Garfield is our baby,” Laura Wise said Sunday afternoon, fighting back tears. “Our kids work there. Our employees often come to our house. We truly are one big family.”
