The Lake Linden Village Council ratified the vote of its Fire Department, approving a slate of officers Thursday. Earlier this month, the department selected Erik Miller as chief, Andrew Kotila as first assistant and Nick Meneguzzo as second assistant. Miller replaces former chief Ron Williamson, who resigned in January after 22 years with the department, including five as chief. “I feel good, and well-received by our members,” Miller said, who has been with the department for 17 years. Miller said he had wanted to move up to chief after several years as an officer. “The guys respond well to me,” he said.
