An unidentified person was found dead in a vehicle fire on Wednesday evening, according to a Michigan State Police news release.
The Somerset Fire Department went to the to the vehicle-fire call at about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in the area of Voorheis Road and Waldron Road.
Upon finding a body in the car, the fire department notified the state police, Somerset Fire Chief Scott Freiss said.
Police are calling the fire suspicious, according to the release.
The vehicle was an SUV and was fully involved when firefighters arrived.
It was in the middle of Voorheis Road east of Waldron Road with the rear doors open, Freiss said.
