Firefighters were called to two trash bin fires Monday at the Westmoore Apartments at Keewahdin Road and 24th Avenue. Fire Chief Patrick Smith said firefighters found one of the trash bins fully involved when they arrived at 11:14 p.m. The second bin was reported on fire about five minutes later. Both bins were off the apartment complex's Keewahdin Road entrance. "We’re feeling it was more of a deliberate fire," Smith said. "Witnesses thought they saw someone around the (trash bin) that was fully involved just before the fire." No one was injured, Smith said. Firefighters were able to clear the scene around midnight.
