Payton Dennis, a beloved boy in Bellaire, passed away Sunday after a brave battle with an inoperable brain tumor. After being diagnosed in September 2016, the Bellaire community rallied around the 7-year-old and his family. They organized 5Ks, pancake breakfasts, and a GoFundMe account. Payton dreamed of becoming a firefighter. At the high school's homecoming game last fall, the community made him an honorary firefighter, and gave him his very own fire gear. They designated October 21st as Payton Dennis Day. Payton's visitation will be Thursday, April 6 at 4 p.m. at the Bellaire High School gymnasium.
