The Michigan State Police Fire Marshal's Office is investigating an explosion and fire that left a residence severely damaged in northern Michigan.
No one was injured in the fire, which began shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, in the 19000 block of Hoxeyville Road in Norman Township.
Dispatchers received numerous calls from neighbors who stated they heard a large explosion and a couple smaller explosions, according to the Manistee County Sheriff's Office.
Firefighters from the Norman Township and Irons fire departments arrived on scene to find the residence fully engulfed in flames.
