A woman's body was found in a partially boarded-up home three days after flames gutted the structure. Muskegon Heights Fire Chief Christopher Dean said Tuesday, April 24 that the body was found under debris by a state police fire investigator doing follow-up work. The body was on the second-story of the house. Muskegon Heights firefighters responded to the fire at 4:38 a.m. Saturday, April 21. The house is in the 2900 block of Sixth Street near West Columbia Avenue. Firefighters brought the flames under control by 5:50 a.m. and were at the scene until about 7:20 a.m. Dean said fire officials are trying to figure out how the body was overlooked on Saturday.
