Late this afternoon the Fenton Township Board voted unanimously on an 83-day suspension for Fire Chief Ryan Volz, who has been suspended with pay since July 9th. The Chief's remaining suspension will be unpaid, and he must meet a number of conditions set forth by the board in order to return to work this fall. Those include attending and successfully completing sexual harassment training and attending a county wide diversity/sensitivity training. He will also have to forego 35 hours of Paid Time Off. Coming up tonight at 11, Chief Ryan Volz talks with ABC 12 News for the first time since a female fire fighter and her captain filed a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit again the Township and the Chief last month.
