Officials in Richland are investigating a second barn fire at Stafford Farms this month. The Richland fire crews told Newschannel 3 there were multiple explosions as a result of the fire early Wednesday morning. Both welding and propane tanks exploded in the intense heat, destroying the barn used for welding. The fire broke out just after 12:30 a.m. at Stafford Farms on D Avenue in Richland. No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters from multiple departments spent hours making sure all the hot spots were out. Just last week, a different area at this same farm also caught fire. On August 7th, a viewer sent us video of the smoke billowing out of a barn at Stafford farm. Fire officials told Newschannel 3 that fire happened in a hay barn.
