Things are moving quickly as the Blissfield Township Fire Department continues to recover from a devastating fire at its station Saturday that caused the station and a portion of the department’s equipment to become unusable. Three firefighters that were injured fighting the blaze — two with smoke inhalation and one with minor burns — have been released from ProMedica Toledo Hospital. One was released the day of the fire, while two were kept overnight for observation. The cause of the fire was still undetermined as of Wednesday evening according to Blissfield Township Fire Chief Dale Fruchey, but the most heavily damaged vehicle, one of the department’s two ambulances, has been towed for further investigation. ?(The fire) originated from the ambulance. They just don’t know where at,” Fruchey said. “So they’re looking into that right now.”
