A man killed in a head-on crash Tuesday, Feb. 13 in Washtenaw County's Bridgewater Township was an emergency medical technician and a former firefighter. Jeremy Pinkley, 29, of Onsted, was a Cambridge Township firefighter from 2009 to 2012, Cambridge Township Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Armstrong said. Pinkley grew up in Onsted and graduated from the high school in 2007 before joining the fire department, Armstrong said. Armstrong said his son grew up with Pinkley and the two stayed close until he left the department in 2012 to become an EMT. Armstrong said Pinkley made everyone laugh and was a good firefighter in his nearly four years with the department.
