A pre-dawn drive was a wet and dangerous one for many across Genesee County. "I'm heading to work this morning. I'm trying to figure out what's going on down there. Flooded, man, I have to do a reverse and detour," said Flint resident Jamika Anthony. Flushing Road near Mill Street along the Flint River in Flint Township was hit particularly hard. "These floods are no joke. If you don't pay attention, it'll do damage to your vehicle," said Anthony. Flint resident Deomontae Winton found himself close to being stuck, with water splashing above his hood. "It's a panic mode because I actually didn't see it. With the brights on, I did not see that water," said Winton. Winton was one of the lucky ones. His Chevrolet Trailblazer managed to make it through.
