Lincoln Park Fire Lt. Robert Wright was honored as the 2017 Firefighter of the Year by the Lincoln Park Exchange Club. Only he doesn’t know why.
That might be the reason, the 20-year veteran of the department takes little personal credit for the work he and the rest of the staff have done all year.
“Nothing specifically stands out,” he said. “Everything I did, was done as part of a team.”
Wright, who has also worked as a firefighter in Trenton and Riverview and as an Auxiliary firefighter in Taylor, has nearly 25-years in the business, the last 20 in Lincoln Park.
