Firefighters learned work skills for the job at a training Thursday in Lansing.
LCC hosted an area fire fighters on campus to learn life-saving actions to ensure safety on the job.
Some of the training aspects covered were ways to ensure fire fighters can get out safely if they become lost, disoriented, injured, and low on air, or trapped during the fire.
The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health conducted the training. They took the scenarios from lessons learned from fire fighter fatality investigations.
The training took place from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the LCC West Campus, at 5708 Cornerstone Drive.
