A fatal crash Wednesday afternoon along M-15 in Atlas Township has shut down a portion of the road. Deputies with the Genesee County Sheriff's Office and Atlas Township firefighters have responded to the area of M-15 (State Road) and Hill Road where a crash took place around 5:30 p.m. Oct. 17. One person has died as a result of the crash, according to an official at the scene. A black Kia Soul was heavily damaged in the incident, while a second vehicle sustained front-end damage. M-15 is blocked off by authorities between Maple Avenue to the north and Perry Road to the south, as well as at Hill Road to allow for authorities to investigate the crash.
